Mumbai: In a commendable effort to enhance community health and tackle the urgent issue of heart-related conditions, Lilavati Hospital has introduced a state-of-the-art cardiac ambulance crucial for individuals experiencing cardiac emergencies such as heart attack or cardiac arrest to receive prompt medical intervention within the first 60 minutes of the incident. This innovative service represents a major advancement in emergency medical care, utilizing advanced technology to deliver exceptional treatment for patients in need. Currently, cardiac diseases rank as the top cause of death in India.

In some cases, there may be a cardiac nurse or even a cardiologist on board or available for consultation. The primary goal of a cardiac ambulance is to stabilize the patient's condition as quickly as possible. This may involve administering medications, performing cardiac monitoring, defibrillation (if needed for cardiac arrest), and providing supportive care to manage symptoms and prevent further deterioration.
