Back in the day, you cycled to school. Now adults have picked it up again. Read on find out why

 

It is Einstein thought of the best idea while he would cycle around. Well, not all of us may be as lucky as Einstein to get smart idea, but cycling around can surely keep us fit and healthy. Some of the folks who cycle regularly tell us how is cycling benefiting them. Ashwin Kumar, an IT employee, took up cycling a month ago. He says it was means to lose calories. “Before I started cycling, I used to work out in the gym every day. However, with my work timings getting stretched, I found it difficult to take time out from my every day schedule and hit the gym.

 

Cycling to work was an option. So, I took it up. I save time, and also it’s fun, like cycling back to school,” he reasons or Rohan J, a startup employee, cycling is a sport that he enjoys. “It definitely burns calories and exercises the muscles, but more than anything it is an activity I enjoy the most. I visit the gym regularly. So, cycling is not something I do stay fit. It’s something I do to stay happy. I cycle inside the Osmania University campus to long stretches, for hours. It a mood lifter,” he says. For Madhusudan Reddy, cycling is a way to socialize. It’s an activity that he carries out with thebicycling group of Hyderabad. “Of course, it fitness is also a goal but I don’t cycle individually. It’s only with the group.”
