KIMS Hospitals Promotes Fit India Movement on World Heart Day

On the occasion of ‘World Heart Day’, KIMS Hospitals has organized a ‘6 Minute Jog Challenge’ at their premises. Naming it as ‘Fit India Movement’, the hospital has been promoting awareness among the visitors to the hospital about the need of leading healthy life. The activity is being organized at the premises of KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad and Kondapur started on 23rd and will continue till 29th Sep 2019. In the challenge, the participants must jog continuously for 6 minutes. Dr Bhaskar Rao, MD, KIMS Hospitals has taken part in the challenge on Saturday. Approximately 100 people taking part in the challenge everyday at the hospital premises.

 

Speaking about this activity, Dr. P. Rajendra Kumar Jain, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, KIMS Hospitals, said, “We have taken this initiative to promote importance of fitness among public. We feel through this activity we will able to convey the message in a right way. Physical activity promotes health, lowering the bad cholesterol, obesity and decreases the risk of lifestyle diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.”
