STAR Hospitals Celebrates World Heart Day with Heartwarming Reunion: "Chhoti Saansein, Badi Udeedein"
HYDERABAD, INDIA, September 26, 2026 - STAR Hospitals hosted a deeply emotional and joyous special reunion today titled "Chhoti Saansein, Badi Udeedein" (Small Breaths, Big Hopes) in honor of World Heart Day.
The event brought together children who underwent life-saving pediatric heart surgeries 6 to 9 years ago alongside their families to celebrate health, resilience, and new beginnings.

Drawing & Caricature Sessions: Children participated in a drawing competition, while caricature artists created live sketches to hand over to the kids as keepsakes.

Interactive Sessions with Dr. Gopichand Mannam: The highlight of the day featured renowned cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Gopichand Mannam and his medical team. Children proudly showcased and explained their drawings to Dr. Mannam, followed by photo opportunities and recorded video testimonials of their inspiring journeys.
Honoring a Legacy of Compassion and Healing
Dr. Gopichand Mannam, affectionately referred to as the "Surgeon with Golden Hands," has transformed thousands of lives. Through his initiative, the Hrudaya Foundation, Dr. Mannam and his team have successfully performed more than 8,000 free pediatric heart surgeries, giving underprivileged children a second chance at life.
The event concluded with a celebratory lunch, uniting doctors, families, and young survivors in an atmosphere of gratitude and hope.
