Flash Mob Spreads Message of Hope and Awareness on Breast Cancer
In a unique and vibrant initiative to promote breast cancer awareness, Apollo Cancer Hospital and CURE Foundation jointly organized a Flash Mob at GVK One Mall, Banjara Hills, on Friday evening at 6:30 PM. The event, themed “Check. Care. Conquer.”, aimed to drive home the importance of early detection and timely care in combating breast cancer.
The energetic performance by medical students, doctors, and nurses from Apollo Cancer Centre drew huge crowds, turning the mall into a lively arena of rhythm and awareness. The event also saw the participation of cine celebrities, adding glamour and reach to the noble cause.
Chief Guest Dr. Bharat Reddy, both noted film personalities, lauded the initiative, emphasizing that awareness remains the first step toward saving lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. P. Vijay Anand Reddy, Founder of CURE Foundation and Director of Apollo Cancer Centres, Hyderabad, said, “Through creative public engagement like this, we aim to break the stigma around cancer and encourage women to undergo regular screenings. Early detection truly saves lives.”
GVK One Mall, one of Hyderabad’s most frequented destinations, was chosen to ensure maximum public participation. As part of the awareness campaign, bookmarks featuring early signs, symptoms, and preventive tips for breast cancer were distributed to mall visitors.
A highlight video of the Flash Mob will soon be available on the official YouTube and Facebook pages of CURE Foundation, allowing more people to join the movement for awareness and early detection.
