World Environment Day: A healthy way to connect people with nature

On the occasion of World environment day making offices eco-friendly to minimize the health issues of employees is important.

 

Maximum employees are suffering from deficiency of vitamin D, sleep apena, abdominal obesity as they are sitting for 8 to 10 hours every day. To minimize this damage to the body it is important to take up a few steps and work towards change.

 

  1.  Switch from car to bicycle – those who are staying 5 to 7 kilometers close to office can opt for bicycle ride to work as it will help to exercise and also give the body the exposure to outside air.
  2. Climb the steps – Instead of using the elevator climb up the steps as it will give the body the required energy. It is also an easy indication of healthy heart.
  3. Work towards creating green spaces within the office and also outside the office.
  4. Make it a policy to dispose hazardous waste batteries, broken wooden pieces, old electronics in recycling bins
  5. Make sure that you give exposure to sunlight hence a light walk post lunch or during a break time would help to rejuvenate.
  6.  Keep a count of your calorie intake in office and work out a schedule with your office hours to burn the same.
  7. Look towards recycling energy both in the office and home atmosphere as it goes a long way in providing our single inputs for saving the environment.
