Chinese ophthalmologist to be trained at Sankara Academy of Vision
Chinese ophthalmologist will be trained at Sankara Academy of Vision in techniques of cataract surgery. Sankara Eye Foundation has entered into a strategic MOU with Tonghua Eye Hospital, a leading eye care center in China.
The aim is to eliminate avoidable blindness, provide effective and innovative solutions for quality eye care during treatment of cataract and also other eye surgeries. The Chinese ophthalmologists are going to be trained at the center. Dr R V Ramani, founder of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Medical Trust explained, “Sankara Academy of Vision is providing advanced training to eye surgeons from across India. Our partnership with Chinese ophthalmologists will help to collaborate in terms of technology and research and help to bring better treatment and quality eye care.”
