Stroke Awareness and Training Session for ambulance drivers at CARE Hospitals
October 29th, 2021: On the occasion of World Stroke Day, CARE Hospitals Banjara Hills organized a Stroke Awareness and Training Session for Ambulance Owners, Paramedic Staff and Technicians to increase awareness and reduce causalities due to stroke. The programme was inaugurated and presided over by Chief Guest, Shri. Justice G.Chandraiah Garu, Chairman & Commissioner – Human Rights Govt. of Telangana, who expressed his happiness at such a noble and meaningful gesture.
The programme focussed on equipping the ambulance paramedics with clinical and technical knowledge on how to handle a stroke patient and the pre-hospital treatment that they can provide emphasizing on the importance of reaching a stroke-ready hospital in 4.5 hrs.
In case of a stroke, the recovery of the patient depends not only on the immediate treatment but also on a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach with neuro-rehabilitation. CARE Hospitals has an excellent neuro-rehabilitation team, comprising of professionals from physiotherapy, occupational therapy, a speech therapist, a clinical psychologist and specialists in nutrition and neurosurgery, along with dedicated nursing staff.
