Maxi Vision Eye Hospital organized free health camps to mark world diabetes day

Hyderabad, 14th Nov 2018:  Hyderabad-based MaxiVision Super Specialty Eye Hospital organized health camps in all its branches in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam to create awareness on diabetes and its effects on the body on world diabetes day today. The team of doctors participated in the program wherein free eyes and random blood sugar, Blood pressure, Height & weight checkups were done for all diabetes patients on the occasion. Around 200 patients attended the camp for free checkups.

 Speaking on the occasion Mr.Sudheer – COO, Maxivision eye hospitals said, “World diabetes day” is observed every year on 14th Nov to create global attention on the effects of uncontrolled diabetes. Diabetic retinopathy is one leading cause of blindness and vision impairment. Vision problems are common in people of all age groups but the severity is more in elderly people. Elderly people get vision defects as their age grows and development issues related to sight. Thus they need long-lasting and approachable treatment. Diabetes is one of the important factors which will lead to diabetic retinopathy, if not treated in time may lead to vision impairment. World diabetic day is not just a one-day event but it is an initiative which inspires to help the world around us.  As a gesture towards all such eye complications in the society, and to rekindle the hope in all the patients suffering from eye-related diseases, Maxivision organized free health camp today.
