JS Yoga Studio’s Eye-opening International Yoga Day Workshop

JS Yoga Studio’s Eye-opening International Yoga Day Workshop

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, JS Yoga Studio’s founder Mr. Ankit Dubey conducted a workshop, in association with Shree TMT, starting at 6 a.m and ending just past noon. The event took place on the 21st of June 2018, at the yoga studio, and was largely attended by women who are members of the studio, and was open for the public to attend.

With the event’s tagline, “This Yoga day, get the answers for all your weight loss and health questions,” the participants, decked in grey t-shirts and black trousers, engaged with Mr. Dubey in an interactive session on women’s health issues. The first session began with basic warm-up and breathing exercises. Mr. Dubey focused on Polycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD), a disorder characterized by excessive testosterone levels and the absence of ovulation. He spoke about its diagnosis, symptoms, its ability to develop into cancer, and how Yoga plays a key role in reducing the impact of this disease. He also spoke about the effect of diets for weight loss, and breathing and digestion problems.

The second session was attended by a group of 40 students from Kataria College of Hotel Management, accompanied by their principal Mr. Srinivas and staff. They were informed on the differences between ‘Gymming’ and Yoga, the importance of healthy fats, brain-functioning, and were taught a few breathing techniques.

The event ultimately successfully fulfilled its purpose of bringing to light the positive impact that practicing Yoga has on a person and its use as conservative therapy for certain disorders and conditions. Participants left the event feeling more knowledgeable and informed about how to deal with their diet and health more calmly, and at ease.
