The hospital staff is happy after the announcement. “We feel proud to have won this award. We have strived hard in order to keep the hospital clean. Everyone right from hospital staff, to patients to their relatives actively participates in keeping the hospital clean. We have well-trained staff who follows good hygiene practices and keep the patient wards clean. Every single thing in the hospital is neatly placed. We maintain discipline and decorum in the hospital. We keep a check on sanitation, waste management, and infection prevention and urge all patients and relatives to follow hand hygiene practices. We do hygiene promotion from time to time,” said Shreya Rane Head of Operations, Zynova Shalby Hospital, Mumbai.
Reny Varghese, Unit Head, Zynova Shalby Hospital Said, “We have placed dustbins in each and every ward and in the corridor and other premises too. Keep separate dustbins for dry and wet waste everywhere. The washrooms are clean after every use to avoid infections. Cleanliness helps protect one’s health and saves the environment. We clean frequently touched objects, surfaces, and equipment on a daily basis to curb the spread of Covid-19. Hospital floors are mopped to avoid getting contaminated with bacteria and causing infections. Mask is mandatory in the hospital to shield people from Covid, pneumonia, or tuberculosis (TB) which can spread from one person to another due to poor hygiene. We cater to 100s of patients on a daily basis and we aim to further make sure that we provide uninterrupted services to the patient. Remember that clean hospitals can prevent infection. Everyone including the patients will be able to stay safe if the hospital is clean.”
