STAR Hospitals sets state benchmark on World Heart Day: Trains 5,000 students in one of the region's largest single-day CPR drives

Hyderabad, September 29, 2026:* In observance of World Heart Day, STAR Hospitals, partnering with the Janatha Hrudayalaya Foundation and the Cardiological Society of India – Telangana Chapter (TGCSI), hosted a massive free CPR training session at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul in Moinabad, Hyderabad.

The programme was graced by Smt. Abhilasha Bisht, IPS, DGP & Director, RBVRR Telangana Police Academy, and I/c DGP (Training), Telangana, Hyderabad, as the Chief Guest.

Led by Dr. M. Hanumantha Reddy, Senior Interventional Cardiologist at STAR Hospitals, the initiative successfully equipped around 5,000 students, staff, and parents with hands-on training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The programme aimed to raise public health awareness and transform the community into a CPR-ready network where everyday bystanders can act as the critical first link in the chain of survival during cardiac emergencies.
