STAR Cancer Centre Wins Two Prestigious Awards at 5th Cancer Summit in NewDelhi.

Star Cancer Centre at Star Hospitals Financial District has won two prestigious awards at the 5th Cancer Summit organised by the Integrated Health and Well-being (IHW) Council in New Delhi. The awards are for ‘Excellence in Cancer Prevention & Awareness Initiative / Programme’ (Awareness & Education category) and ‘Innovation in Cancer Screening Technique’ (Diagnosis & Screening category).

Excellence in Cancer Prevention & Awareness Initiative/Programme, under the Awareness & Education category, was awarded to Star Cancer Centre for its commendable efforts in screening over 3000 individuals in remote areas of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh within a mere 3 months. This initiative not only screened individuals but also raised crucial awareness regarding cancer and the importance of early screening. Star Cancer Centre shares the IHW Council's concern regarding the rising incidence of various cancers globally, which has led to an increase in fatality rates.

Innovation in Cancer Screening Technique, within the Diagnosis & Screening category, recognized the project titled "The Star Multidisciplinary Tumor Board." This initiative, devised by the experts at Star Cancer Centre, adopts a patient-centric approach to cancer diagnosis, providing strategic support that prioritizes the needs of both patients and their families in the decision-making process. The recognition garnered by Star Cancer Centre underscores its pivotal role in the realm of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
