KIMS Basic Trauma Course 2019

The Department of Orthopaedics at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad is committed to impart knowledge and clinical skills to the young and upcoming surgeons in the field of Orthopaedics by carrying out several academic programmes and as a part of it we have started KIMS Basic Trauma Course, in 2016 to train young Orthopaedic Surgeons in the latest techniques of management of trauma patients. It was a huge success last three years and this time too we have an excellent response from the newly graduated orthopaedic Surgeons.

In this course, we had lectures given by Senior Faculty members, Practical saw bone demonstration on various methods of fixation of fractures, several intresting sessions between the trainers & trainees. In addition to that participants were given course material as a booklet for free of cost.

HOD & Sr Consultant, Orthopaedics, KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad said Normally these type of courses are conducted by international agencies & they are quite expensive which is a deterrent for many young surgeons to participate. Keeping this in mind, we have offered this course with a nominal registration fee.

The management of KIMS has been kind enough to provide infrastructural support for conducting the course successfully, without any monetary benefit.
