MTal Asks For Better Government Support
Keeping the ‘Make in India’ vision of the Indian Government in mind the, Medical Technology Association of India (MTal) recently held a press conference. The MTal feels that a supportive ecosystem is of the greatest importance when it comes to medical technology in India.
The organisation also states that medical devices that are developed in India need to be widely adopted in order to properly leverage the ‘Make in India’ tag.
Key member groups of the MTal had this to say, “The Government needs to frame a series of enabling policies that supplement the development of an appropriate decision-making system which promotes the MedTech sector in India.”
The Director General of MTal, Pavan Choudhary, said, “The global medical device industry should be an integral part of the policies that stem from the ‘Make in India’ initiative.”
The MTal feels that the MedTech sector needs encouraging Government policies that help the ‘ease-of-doing-business’ quotient.
