Blood Vessel Blockages Can Be Reversed With The Right Measures

Deposition of fat and cholesterol inside the arteries is the main reason behind the blockage of blood vessels. This deposition-induced blockage is known as atherosclerosis.

Hearts attacks and strokes can arise from rapid blockage of blood vessels. On the other hand, slower blockage in the heart blood vessels leads to breathing difficulties while blockage in the brain blood vessels causes giddiness and weakness.

Earlier, these blockages were thought to be permanent and irreversible. But later studies have proved that these blockages are not fixed but in actuality, are alterable.

Dr Nekkanti Venkat Rayudu, a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Apollo Hospitals, says that blood vessel blockages are reversible. He's of the view that vascular health can be improved with the help of right medication and healthy lifestyle modifications like weight control, good eating habits, smoking cessation, breathing exercises and more.
