Simple Do-It-At-Home Methods To Treat Boils

First, identify the type of boil you have. Remember, don’t squeeze, scratch, or open the boil with a needle!

Warm compress - Apply a compress dipped in warm water. Place this warm and wet compress on the boil for 10 to 12 minutes a day. This reduces your pain and helps expel the pus.

Wash the infected area with soap and water twice a day. Next, place warm, wet fabrics on the boil for 20-30 mins thrice a day. Keep using warm compresses for 3 days even after the boil opens and then stick on a bandage.

Even basic kitchen staples can be incredible boil soothers.

Cereal: Wrap dry oats in cheesecloth and run cool water through it. Discard the oats and soak the compress in the resulting liquid. Apply this fabric every 2 to 4 hours and watch as the magic unfolds.

Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil has great antiseptic properties that can potentially heal all types of skin problems. Apply one drop of tea tree oil directly to your boil and watch it heal.

Cornstarch: Add water to cornstarch and make a paste. Apply this mix directly onto your heat boils.

Yoghurt: Gently spread some yoghurt on your inflamed areas. Rinse it off with cool water after some time and pat your skin dry.
